We loved Jerry & Debra’s place. We felt at home immediately! So cozy & homelike. Fresh loaf of banana bread was such a lovely & thoughtful gesture. I play piano & was thrilled to see one there! We had a great time hiking nearby & love this area. Hoping to return to visit again soon!

TN River Getaway~10 min to Downtown Chattanooga

PeterRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We were only staying for a weekend and we checked in on Friday evening. We were able to enjoy a firepit by the river and make S'mores. We were a large group of nine, and accommodations were great! Plenty of room!. The teenagers enjoyed the foosball table. Saturday it rained hard all day and evening so we explored Chattanooga . We didn't get to really use the river since it rained (and there were tornado watchs and warnings all evening) but we still had a great time!

North Shore Bungalow @ Coolidge Park

AmyRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Great location and very comfortable space! I did have a good laugh when I saw the stairs up to the house. The description clearly states that there are stairs but the home sits higher from the street than I expected. It wasn’t a big deal but definitely pay attention to that detail if anyone in your party has mobility issues. I would definitely stay here again.

Eden in the Clouds

NancyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We came to stay for my 50th birthday weekend. Stacy was very good at communicating everything before we checked in. The house was beautiful and had so many small items in there that we may need such as soap, detergent, and kitchen supplies. The view was absolutely stunning…and her recommendation to go see Lookout Mountain Sky Diving led to us going hang gliding-my favorite experience! I would definitely come back and stay again!

We came to Dunlap to celebrate a graduation and this home was in the perfect location. Close to town, family, and our event. It had plenty of room for our group and offered endless areas to hang out and play in during our stay. The hot tub was a huge hit and we even swam in the giant pool (despite expert cooler temp weather) with amazing views. The deck was enjoyed everyday. It really is a wonderful home!

My family was so fortunate to have found Star Cottage. It was perfect for us and felt just like home. It was close enough to many fun things, but not too close to feel crowded or make me nervous with three young children. If we ever make it back to Chattanooga, we know exactly where to stay!

Nooga Blue Bungalow

NancyRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We can’t say enough good things about Richard & his home @Nooga Blue. You will find an impeccable home—Welcoming, clean, fresh, everything you look at, sit on, sleep in, touch is intact and high-quality. You just know that much thought and intentionality was put into each detail. Thank you for the opportunity to live near our daughter for a week! I was personally fascinated by the neighborhood —by day, people jogging, walking, biking because it’s flat, calm, and easy to take walks. People are friendly. There’s a cool playground not far down the road. By night, the lights! It will feel like most everybody leaves at least one set of “party lights“ or one outdoor form of illumination at their home! Nooga Blue will make you want to live there! Thankful for kind, attentive hosts, and we give high recommends to anyone who wants a refreshing homebase—to be close enough to pop to town, to visit your kids up the road @Covenant College, or in our case, to help to pull off a family wedding!

This home was such a great place for my family and I! There were places for us to congregate to play games and watch movies and sports as a family, but also enough space for us to have our own private time when needed. There was nothing we needed in this home that wasn't readily available. We would definitely stay here again.

It is a lovely cabin with a beautiful view. Perfect for rest and relaxation. The bed is very comfortable. The shower is very good. The tv has lots of programs, which came in handy for our stay as we did not leave the cabin. Going for a walk is not easy because of the steep road near the cabin, but it is a great place to stay. Cozy Tiny Home w/large deck, hot tub and firepit

AnnaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We celebrated our 25th anniversary and this tiny home was absolutely the highlight! So many things to do around the community, hiking, waterfalls, kayaking, even walks over the lake in the beautiful sunset. What was most surprising is that the atmosphere of this little home was all we actually needed. Sitting in the hot tub, making yummy food in the beautiful kitchen and eating outside on the deck, playing cards by the fire pit, and one of my favorite things, drinking our coffee with the doors open to hear all the morning sounds. What a peaceful retreat! They literally thought of everything in this little vacation spot. Everything was so intentionally thought through to make our stay super special. I would absolutely return again!

All About Chattanooga

The city of Chattanooga sits on the bucolic banks of the Tennessee River, backed by the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain Range and Lookout Mountain. This is a city that is as much about nature as it is about urban life, with museums, science centers, cultural programming, and a forward-looking tech-friendly streak. The terrain in and around Chattanooga is loaded with fairytale scenery, babbling brooks, and cascading waterfalls. Add a dose of Southern charm, and the city is a major draw for vacationing families, groups of friends, and even business travelers here for a work-play stay. Chattanooga’s neighborhoods are a patchwork of green parks and classic Victorian and Tudor homes; it’s no wonder that it’s nicknamed the Scenic City.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Chattanooga

Fall is the most beautiful time of year in Chattanooga, when the foliage bursts into bright shades of crimson and orange and the temperature is pleasant for outdoor activities. In September, the average highs reach 82 degrees Fahrenheit, with a low of 56. Come November, the highs hover around a balmy 62 degrees, and by December the visitors empty out as the colder weather blows in. If you’re looking for a scene, summers are popular but hot, sometimes unbearably so. July and August are the hottest months, with an average high of 88 degrees, though temperatures often soar higher than that. A high UV Index of 10 in summer means you should double up on sunscreen and bring protective sunglasses.
